Currently, I have a PS3 which I think is better than the Xbox 360. The developing of new technology means that there will be rumors of new systems, and right now there have been leaks of the the rumored PS4, Code named "Orbis", which will supposedly be released next year during the holiday season. Some rumored facts about this system indicate that it will have an advanced graphics card which will make everything look even awesome. Currently, the PS3 already has some amazing graphics. The Orbis could either have a graphics card from AMD or from Nvidia. Another thing with the Orbis is that it will supposedly not have backwards compatibility with the previous systems. The PS3 has backwards compatibility which allows gamers to play their PS2 games on their PS2. Instead, games will be locked into the user's account which means that the games cannot be used twice.
From the rumored information, it seems that the PS4 is not going to have a great start because of all the negative things that it will bring. First of all, what are we going to do with our PS3 once we get the PS4? Not being able to play PS3 games is going to infuriate Sony's customers and loyal fans because we want make things easy on us by being able to do many things with just one thing instead of piling hardware next to the TV. Sony should reconsider doing this if they want to make their fans happy, because I'm one of those loyal customers who is not liking that idea so far because I own a PS3 with a lot of games and I would just like to have one system that can play all my games. Since the games can only be used once, it will affect the gaming franchise market such as GameStop. Gamers would not be able to trade or sell their games to GameStop once they are used because the games will practically be useless. Right now EA is doing something similar to its games by making players use a unique code to play the EA games online. Otherwise you have to purchase an access code in order to play the multiplayer online part of the game. I personally would wait a while to purchase the new system just to see if there are any changes to the system.
